The Fifth Annual Jeffrey Osborne Celebrity Golf Classic

“The magic for me in delivering much needed funds to these deserving non-profits is that I’m blessed to be honoring my brother Clay while supporting great organizations and acknowledging caring individuals. I’m truly blessed to have so many close friends and colleagues who have joined me in support of the Jeffrey Osborne Celebrity Classic and its efforts to provide continued support to music and the arts, as well as to non-profits who provide a safe-haven for families in need. We hope that this annual event generates awareness for these charitable initiatives and serves as the beginning of many milestones that will be achieved for so many deserving causes.”

– JEFFREY OSBORNE

The Jeffrey Osborne Celebrity Classic will also provide music- and art-based scholarships and a humanitarian award to deserving individuals and organizations.

THE EVENT

BENEFITING ORGANIZATIONS

The organizations who will be honored with support and contributions from the 2014 Jeffrey Osborne Celebrity Classic are Amos House, Music School of the Rhode Island Philharmonic Orchestra, Boys & Girls Clubs of Providence, The MET School, Button Hole and proud to announce the addition of St. Mary’s Home for Children.

As the oldest continually operating Boys & Girls Club in the country, the Boys & Girls Clubs of Providence has provided safe and fun environments for children and youth for more than 140 years. Their mission is “to enable and inspire children and youth, especially those from diverse or difficult circumstances, to reach their full potential as productive, responsible, and healthy members of their community, the State of Rhode Island, and the nation.”

The MET is a network of six small, public high schools located in Providence and Newport, Rhode Island. With high standards and strong family engagement, the MET’s individualized learning approach has proven successful in unlocking students’ passion for learning. The MET empowers its students to take charge of their learning, to become responsible citizens and life-long learners. The hallmarks of a MET education include internships, individual learning plans, advisory, and a breakthrough college transition program.

The Rhode Island Philharmonic Orchestra & Music School (RIPO&MS) is the largest symphony orchestra in the nation to devote more than 50% of their programmatic budget to music education and community engagement. Educationally, their goal is to reach every elementary school in the region with music programs that help kids learn.

Since 1877, St. Mary’s has been caring for Rhode Island’s children. From its beginnings as an orphanage, St. Mary’s has evolved into Rhode Island’s largest, most comprehensive treatment facility for boys and girls who may have been traumatized by abuse, as well as those experiencing psychiatric and/or emotional challenges.

Button Hole enriches the lives of young people by providing facilities and programs that develop strong character, teach life values and champion success through the game of golf.
